TOTAepe was developed to support children and teenagers, especially those with cognitive difficulties, to develop writing skills.
The application is based on the idea that many repetitions are essential for the acquisition of skills, using mechanisms to interrupt at regular and predetermined intervals the applications that children use to have fun on their cell phones, such as YouTube and Netflix.
The entertainment app is stopped and the child has to practice writing 5 words, after which the entertainment app works again.
The words proposed by TOTAepe are chosen based on a detailed stratification of the point at which the child is learning to write and are replaced according to the analysis of the childs progress.
This analysis also allows the identification of the type of error made by the child and the proposition of content based on the type of error presented.
